I was looking forward to this playlist. Great product! There are a ton of exercises that can be done with these. I’ve had mine for about a month and it was a very good purchase.
Nice! These look awesome for grip training!
So these are actually made out of metal? They’re not plastic?
Yes, they are made out of metal. The 3 inch are better for overall training while the 4 inch are more for grip work.
Damn, I’ve been waiting for a free shipping promo and now that they have one the 3″ balls are on sale so I still need $5 in my order to qualify, LOL!
How come the 4 inch ball is grayed out? Are they out of stock? Discontinued?
The image used was for the 3″. The 4″ are located here. http://www.flexcart.com/members/elitefts/default.asp?m=PD&cid=182&pid=5069
Dave, you are one savvy bastard.
I was determined to get free shipping on my two 3″ grenades but I still needed $5 make the minimum purchase. The way I see it, I could pay almost $12 for shipping OR I could apply that towards another purchase. Took me forever to find something. Considered another cable attachment but everything I looked at could now be done with the grenades. Stumbled across the Spud neck harness so I’m in business. Order sent.
Dave, is there a prescribed technique in using the 3″ grenades for chain triceps press downs? I noticed that my load is considerably lower compared to when I use the triceps press down V bar and I’m fine with that. However, I have a tendency to keep the grenades pressed together.
It’s more difficult and the load is even lighter if I try to flare them out at the end of the concentric phase of the rep. Just wondering if one method is preferred over the other. Thanks in advance.
I’ve used them several ways with press downs. The load doesn’t matter just use the one that you feel the most.
Thanks Dave, yeah, I’m not concerned about the load but I do find that spreading out the nades at the end of the movement is the most challenging and fatigues my triceps faster compared to keeping them together. Really enjoying the nades though, they’ve become a solid part of my cable-based training program.
And let’s face it, there’s something manly looking about having a couple of 3″ steel testicles hanging from your cable system.
