Top Ten Gifts For The Woman Who Likes To Lift Big (Plus Stocking Stuffers!)
All right, gentlemen. I’ve put together a list for you that includes the Top Ten Gift Ideas for the Woman In Your Life Who Likes To Lift Big. I know. That’s a mouthful, but you get the point. The list goes like this: For each number, there will follow one Big gift idea (usually around $100), one Small Accessory Gift idea, which correlates with the big gift and is substantially less money (usually $50 or less), plus a Stocking Stuffer, a relatively inexpensive gift (usually $25 or less) that plays off the theme of the other two gifts. I can pretty much promise you that she’ll be happy with any of the gifts, but the more you buy, the happier she’ll be, right? The good news is you won’t have to spend time at the mall fighting for parking spaces and screaming inside your head as grannies count out exact change in the mile-long line at Dillard’s. Order it all online (don’t be a procrastinator, either- order it in enough time to wrap it all), and with the specials EFS is running, you may even have enough money left over to take her out to dinner.
Hope ya’ll enjoy this list as much as I enjoyed putting it together!
#1
15lb Woman’s Weight Vest
I laughed at “15lbs” until I wore one of these around for an entire workout of weight training with cardio intervals. Talk about getting run over by a truck. For the woman who loves challenges and new types of training, this will make an excellent gift that is amazingly versatile. Take it anywhere, use it for workouts at home, in the gym, hiking, biking, you name it.
*Small Accessory Gift: The Power Pushup (about $30)
To go with the versatility of the weight vest, get her the Power Pushup. While training with the weight vest for resistance, you can alternate with the Power Pushup to train on pushups, dips, lunges and more. The Perfect Pushup is a must for the woman who travels, since it’s lightweight and compact enough to go anywhere in her suitcase!
*Stocking Stuffer: 2lb Neoprene Wrist/Ankle Weights (about $5)
As a trainer, I often had my boxing clients jump rope with wrist weights and ankle weights. I would also recommend the wrist weights while doing steady-state cardio. It’s truly surprising to feel the difference that 2lbs can make after you’re done with the workout. Another benefit is that these are so cheap, you can buy her one pair for her wrists and another for her ankles, and still spend less than $15! What a way to accessorize!
#2
Metal Pro Briefs
Here’s the long and short of it: These briefs are easy to use, have incredible pop and carryover and are versatile beyond belief. They’re an excellent addition for the woman who’s looking to increase her numbers before jumping into full-blown gear. I have used Metal Pro briefs for both squat and deadlift training with fantastic results. Plus, they make your booty look awes… well, never mind.
*Small Accessory Gift: EFS Training Knee Wrap (about $15)
Learning how to wrap your knees to get the most support takes time. These knee wraps are not so tough that they cut off your circulation, but are stiff enough to give good rebound out of the hole, especially for raw lifters. After getting used to these, you can always move up to the Heavy Knee Wrap or Metal All Black Knee Wraps.
*Stocking Stuffer: EFS Girl Squat Tee (about $10)
Now she has her very own tee specifically for squatting…This tee is super soft and fits well. I wear a large. There’s also a matching hoodie if you really wanna impress her.
#3
The Econo Glute Ham Raise
I hesitated to include this because it costs about $500. If I had a home gym, though, I would knock an old lady down to get one of these, so I’m putting it on the list. I know this because I’ve tried it- you canNOT replicate this exercise. You <b>have</b> to buy one. The results to be gained from this machine are well worth the money. This is an excellent investment for any lifter, male or female, but any woman who wants to shape and strengthen her lower body, while increasing her squat, deadlift and sprint speed, should be doing Glute Ham Raises.
*Small Accessory Gift: The Pull-Thru Handle ( less than $20)
Pull-throughs are an excellent way to strengthen your lower back, glutes and hamstrings. I personally find them excellent for eliminating back pain due to extreme arching on the bench. Any woman with a big arch feels my pain, and pull-throughs really work to strengthen those overstretched lower-back muscles. Plus, you manly men can use this handle, too. Talk about a dual gift!
*Stocking Stuffer: EFS Mesh Shorts (about $10)
I have these in white, and they are ridiculously comfortable, not to mention fashionable. Your woman will love these when it comes time to show off her sculpted glute-hams. It’s always nice to have a pair of mesh shorts because they’re moisture-wicking and perfect for hard cardio days.
#4
The Econo Belt
In the interest of both big numbers and injury prevention, a belt is a woman’s best friend. Well, maybe not bestie-best friend, more like an in-the-inner-circle kind of best friend. But definitely one you’d invite to a powerlifting party. Using a belt properly not only encourages good form, it protects key areas like the lower back.
*Small Accessory Gift: The Ab Mat (less than $15)
Let her know you care by giving her a fantastic way to blitz her abs. We’ve all been guilty of letting our belts do the work for our abs. In addition to training raw, your woman should be putting in serious work on her midsection to prevent injury. A strong lower back (and a big total) depends on strong abs!
*Stocking Stuffer: EFS TRAIN Towel (about $1)
Everyone needs a sweat towel. Why not have one that tells you what to do? TRAIN! Show everyone your EFS pride. These also make great golf towels. Go ahead and buy ten.
#5
The Prowler
Prowlering around runs a very close race with the sled when it comes to strength and conditioning. It’s awesome for starting strength, and even better for punishing your cardio. For the woman who enjoys feeling strong and detests the treadmill and elliptical, this is a fat-blasting gift from heaven. The bonus of the Econo Prowler is that it easily breaks down to fit into the trunk of her sporty little coupe.
*Small Accessory Gift: EFS LOVE Hoodie (about $20)
I have every hoodie EFS makes, and I have yet to wear one I don’t get compliments on. Tough, snag- and tear-resistant, great logos and no-fade washable lettering. Show her you LOVE her!
*Stocking Stuffer: EFS Speed Jump Rope (about $10)
Jump roping is by far my most challenging cardio exercise. Mostly because I’m ridiculously uncoordinated. But I digress… This will make a fantastic interval training tool to use with the Prowler, especially since you can do both outside. Jumping rope will be an intense addition to her cardio and GPP plan.
#6
Blast Straps
Any woman (even those who love big weights) realizes the importance of bodyweight and plyo movements. Not only are they essential for those small stabilizer muscles, they can be used to rehabilitate overworked and strained muscles. Blast straps are a staple in my pressing and pulling workouts for suspended pushups/pull-ups, ab exercises and even triceps. What I like best about Blast Straps is that they’re just so portable! They hardly weigh anything, they fit into any gym bag (or even her purse!), and they can be taken to and from the gym with ease.
*Small Accessory Gift: The EFS Script Patch Duffel Bag ( less than $15)
Now she has an uber-fashionable bag to carry not only her blast straps, but everything else on this list. Perfect for carrying extra clothes, shoes, boards, chalk… well, just about anything.
*Special “Awww, Honey! You’re So Sweet” Touch: Have it monogrammed with her name/nickname/favorite motivational phrase.
#7
2, 3 & 4 Board Presses
If your woman wants to bench BIG, and she isn’t already doing board presses, she <i>needs</i> these! The combination of the 2, 3 and 4 boards will train her entire range of motion on the bench. The 3 and 4 boards are designed to develop maximum lockout power on the bench. Board Pressing = Big Benching! Plus they’ll fit perfectly in that EFS Script Patch bag you just bought her…
*Small Accessory Gift: Fat Gripz (about $30)
Fat Gripz are an innovative tool for developing grip strength that will help her bench go up even more. Plus, they aid in forearm and tricep strength, which are two more assets to her lockout power. EFS Team Member Julia Ladewski has been using these in her bench training.
*Stocking Stuffer: Chalk (about $10)
Everyone knows that chalk helps you keep your grip. At times, it’s especially hard for women since we have smaller hands. Chalking up before a heavy lift will not only help her grip, it will make her look as hardcore as she is.
#8
Kettlebells are becoming a widely-used tool among strength athletes… I’m guessing because they have a handle. If I’m going to be swinging it, it better have a handle. Not just for strength, Kettlebells are a top contender as a conditioning tool. Every woman who has ever done KB swings knows just how fast they can wear you out. Many top lifters swear by the carryover they get from KB work into their squat and deadlift. I’m suggesting you buy her a set of two 10lb KBs, one 15lb KB and one 25lb KB to start with.
*Small Accessory Gift: Kettlebells For Fat Loss DVD (less than $40)
What better way to maximize her kettlebell potential than to buy her a DVD? Learning the proper techniques, posture and breathing from this DVD will enable her to stay injury-free and see real results from her KB program.
*Stocking Stuffer: Standard TNT ResistaBands (less than $25)
These bands can be used for so many exercises it’s mind-boggling. Combined with her Kettlebells and DVD, she has a complete workout she can do at home when life gets too hectic to go to the gym. This gift also goes really well with the Power Pushup when she’s working out at home or on the road, because both items are compact and carry easily in a suitcase.
#9:
The Sled
Since I started powerlifting, the sled has been one of my Top Four things to do. (The other three are squat, bench and deadlift). There are so many variations of sled exercises that it’s literally impossible to get bored. Sled dragging strengthens all of the “look good” muscles as well as the “behind the scenes” muscles that aid big lifts. What woman doesn’t want a shapely rear view to go with those knockout numbers she’ll be putting up?
*Small Accessory Gift: The Tug ‘O War Rope (about $30)
As mentioned on the website, a great way to train lats, forearms and upper back is to hook this puppy to her sled you bought her. Not only is the Tug ‘O War rope great for her to train with, it’s an opportunity for the two of you to get in a workout together.
Stocking Stuffer: The Strong(Her) Script Hoodie (about $20)
It’ll be cold out there while she’s pulling the sled. Get her a snazzy hoodie to make a fashion statement while she’s pulling around more weight than the bench press clowns. That’s right… Strong(HER) than the boys…
#10
Biotest Products…ALL Of Them
As a woman who cares greatly about health and nutrition, I’ve done a ton of reading and testing of the Biotest product line. Here’s a few of my favorites that I’m sure your woman will like:
Biotest Hot Rox Extreme: Ideal for stripping away that winter fat that is sure to accumulate on all of us over the holiday season. By the time Christmas rolls around and you give this to her, she’ll prolly already be talking about upping her cardio and losing some fat. Why not prepare early?
Low-Carb Metabolic Drive Protein: Give her the fuel her body needs to grow better, faster and stronger than before. Making sure she gets enough protein is an important factor in reaching her goals.
FlameOut: If your woman isn’t taking FlameOut, she should be. With such a rich source of fatty acids, she’ll experience a multitude of benefits: everything from recovering faster with less soreness to hair and nail growth to expedited fat loss. FlameOut is also pure and tested to be free of heavy metals, which is a concern with some other brands.
*Small Accessory gift: Wrist Wraps (about $8)
…And not just <i>any</i> wrist wraps. High quality, very stiff, almost cast-like wrist wraps that support her wrists and can be used for a variety of exercises. I love using these on everything from benching to tricep dips to pushups.
*Stocking Stuffer: EFS Blender Bottle (about $7)
Excellent for breaking up lumps in her protein shake. It’s also a very pretty color of blue. Like her eyes? I love to take these on the road since I don’t have a blender, and they work like a charm. Especially since that Biotest Metabolic Drive you bought her is instantized so that it mixes…well, instantly.

Hannah…I’m not sure the briefs make your booty look awesome..any way we could see you demo them just to make sure??
GREAT list, Hannah! Thanks for posting!
