This is a recipe one of my clients gave me, John Combs. John was a bodybuilder and recently placed fourth at the Branch Warren classic, last year he got thirteenth at the Ronnie Coleman classic against the same number of competitors. John has decided to switch to powerlifting, look for great things! John is a very disciplined, committed and an attention-to-detail type of person. Because of that I knew this recipe would be outstanding.
John Combs’ Chocolate Buckwheat Powercakes
3/4 cup of buckwheat whole grain mix
1/2 cup of Chocolate Sci-Fit whey isolate
1 Tbsp of Coconut Oil
1 whole egg (large)
3/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of sugar free maple syrup
15 sprays of spray butter

I can’t wait until I’m done with my contest prep, definitely going to try this recipe out.
i dont like mixing pro powder into foods. ruins texture and taste imo. i would rather just drink it on the side.
That’s true, alan. Cooking with protein powder ruins the taste and texture of food. I would rather use it in a smoothie.
Just tried these, you are the man John Combs! This satisfied a hard to please brotha
There is something inherently wrong with sugar free maple syrup, namely that it is not real pure maple. And, as a New Englander, I cannot condone its use.
