Bored of the same old food? Here’s a fresh twist on a commonly plain vegetable.
Asparagus is an excellent source of dietary fiber. It’s packed full of niacin, rich in phosphorus and low in sodium. Besides all of this, it’s even low in calories and carbohydrates.
It contains a substantial amount of vitamins including potassium, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin K and folic acid. Asparagus has many cardiovascular benefits and is a natural diuretic.
Very few will argue the health benefits of asparagus, but also very few will eat it plain. Here’s a lower-fat alternative to pork bacon wrapped asparagus, or asparagus saturated with butter. Give this recipe a try and you may have a newfound love for asparagus.

Snow???
My girlfriend makes something called green bean bundles which are green beans wrapped in bacon with butter and brown sugar on top and baked. They are delicious. I know not exactly what Josh was going for but wonderful nonetheless. Give it a try when you are not too health conscious.
All the world’s ills are curable via bacon.
True story.
There is no food whose existence could not be improved by the addition of bacon. Really. Even chocolate. Even pie. Anything + bacon = awesomeness. Einstein came up with that equation.
I didn’t try the pancakes (Aunt Jemima works fine for me, thank you – I just heard all the nutrition guys faint).
But I HATE asparagus as well. My mother can make palatable asparagus but I can’t. So this is a great idea. Thanks for posting!
Great idea!! I love asparagus anyway but this looks really good!
Nice pairing. I do it with prosciutto and use it as a garnish with my madeira steaks. Yum yum!
